Something More Than a Blog

I've had a personal website at this location for around a decade. Every couple of years I get the urge to freshen things up and re-work the layout. I'll read through the site, write some new things, throw some old ones away, scan a few more photos, etc. There's not a formal end to the process, I just get to a point where I feel good and publish it.

At the start of 2009 it seemed like a good time to do it again. I'm still working on that section about the years I spent travelling aboard the Green Tortoise, but there is an updated section on my career and — of course — a new vintage of wine to add to the list. Maybe someday we'll even get a new family portrait taken to replace the old one above, though it's still the best family photo that we have.

If I keep this up for another decade or two I might end up with something worth reading...
