There are 5 races and 1 banquet that CMAC will be hosting for the 2007/2008 Ski Season. The positions listed below are those that we need to fill as of August 5, 2007. Gatekeeper / Course Maintenance Policy:

It is impossible to put on a ski race without gatekeepers. They are essential! Course Maintenance, however, can be performed by coaches when necessary. We prefer to have the coaches coaching so our goal is to provide volunteers for course maintenance but we cannot do this until ALL gatekeeper positions are filled.

When a volunteer signs up for gatekeeper, s/he will have the opportunity to request to be converted to course maintenance should all of the gatekeeper positions fill for that race day. Course maintenance positins will be filled only by gatekeepers (those who request this) in the order which they signed up for gatekeeping. Sign up early to maximize your changes of converting. There are NO guarantees thta you will be converted so please do not sign up unless you are willing to perform gatekeeper duties.

If you are converted, please remember Course Maintenance is an ALL DAY - ON THE MOUNTAIN commitment. You are needed before the race, during the first run, during resetting between runs, and uring the second run. You will be provided a lunch on the hill. This job is not compatible with other responsibilities. If your child needs the attention of an adult, please make other arrangements because you are needed on the hill, all day.
