Multiplication Table

Students entering Math Team for the first time should have their single-digit multiplication tables memorized. Here is the table for all numbers from 1 to 9:

Please note that you only have to memorize the upper half of this table if you can remember that 8 X 7 is the same as 7 X 8. In Math Team, you will be doing mental math where you will need to recall these multiplication facts! For example, we will be asking you to calculate (in your head!) "What is 8 X 7 - 2?" You should be able to recall that 8 X 7 is 56 and when you subtract 2 you get 54.
