Pyramid

A pyramid is a 3-dimensional (solid) figure that has a polygon for a base and has a single vertex at the top, called the apex.

The bottom polygon is called the base.
The sides of a pyramid are all triangles.
The Egyptian pyramids have square bases and triangular sides, meeting at the top, the apex.
