Area of a triangle

Use "A" for "AREA" "B" for "BASE" and "H" for "HEIGHT"
Here are some bases (B) and heights (H):

Area of a triangle:
     B x H      
A = ------- <== Use this with whole numbers or decimals
       2

Examples:
1. Base = 8 ft.          8 x 4      32
   Height = 4 ft.   A = ------- =  ---- = 16 
                           2         2    sq. ft.


2. Base = 8.5 ft.        8.5 x 4.5   38.25 
   Height = 4.5 ft.  A = ------- =  ---- = 19.125
                            2         2    sq. ft.
Here's another formula that computes the same area:

Fraction Examples:
1. Base   = 3/5 in.       1     3     1      3
   Height = 1/4 in.  A = --- x --- x ---- = --- sq. in.
                          2     5     4      40

2. Base   = 2 in.         1     2     3     6     3
   Height = 3/4 in.  A = --- x --- x --- = --- = --- sq.  
                          2     1     4     8     4  in.

3. Base   = 1 1/2 cm.       1     3     11     33    2 1/16
   Height = 2 3/4 cm.  A = --- x --- x ---- =  --- = sq. cm.
