1) Mr. LaSalle is buying ice-cream bars for the 8 dozen fifth graders at his school. The ice cream bars are packaged 10 to a box. What is the least number of boxes he can buy so that each fifth grader gets at least 1 ice cream bar?

3) On a Tuesday Toni Ellison begins her scenic drive across America. Starting in New York City, she arrives in San Francisco 59 days later. What day of the week is it when she arrives in San Francisco?

4) A chocolate bar is separated into several equal pieces. If one person eats 1/4 of the pieces, and a second person eats 1/2 of the remaining pieces, then there are six pieces left over. Into how many pieces was the original bar divided?

5) Right after Christmas a store put all of its winter coats on sale for 40% off. One rack had a sign saying, "Take an additional 30% off". Terri picks out a blue coat from this "30% off" rack. If the coat had an original price of $100.00, what will the coat now cost Terri? (Do not include tax.)
