1) Ryder is building a square fence around his house. The base of his house is 20 ft wide and 24 ft long. If Ryder wants his house to be centered within the fence and he uses 136 ft of fencing, how close will each side of his house be to the fence?

2) Lana is reading a book for a class assignment. She can read 3 pages every 4 minutes. She starts reading at 4:15 pm. If the book is 126 pages long, when is the earliest she would finish reading the book?

3) What is the volume of a cubic box with a side length of 19 cm?

4) Sam rides a taxi to the airport. The total distance traveled is 23 1/2 miles. If the fare is $5.25 for the first 5 miles and 10 cents for each additional 1/4 mile, how much is the total fare?

5) Four boys went fishing and each caught one fish. Jim's fish was 1 1/4 ft long. Chris's fish was 13 inches long. Wan's fish was 1 1/3 ft long. Brian's fish was 15 inches long. Who caught the longest fish?
