Miscellaneous stuff you may not have known.

Oy! If you've come here, that means you have an inquisitive mind, and want to know all the secret stuff not listed anywhere else!. Or you just clicked on the wrong link, in which case you should be more careful what you click on.

Thanks to Mischa Campen, this page is a bit more complete. Apparently, from the V.MAX article he has sent me, there definetly is a computer-based RPG from NEC. There is a Sol Bianca RPG listed in the rec.arts.anime.games FAQ, but I'm not sure if it is the same game.(it was listed as being very poor.) I'm still half convinced there is a b ook-RPG, so if you can clear this up once and for all, feel free to respond at mechaman@mail.wsu.edu
Along similar lines, ADVision released a comic in the States, "Treasu re Of The Lost Sun". This is a new storyline based on SB, but does not appear to involve any detailed plot bits from SB2. Quite good art, and the characters are roughly dead on. Unfortunately, the second issue is as impossible to find as the first, so if you can find it count yourself lucky. You can read a synopsis of the first here.

CD Soundtrack Info

Currently, there are two soundtrack CDs known to exist. They were printed in 1990 and 1991, so it's very possible they are out of print. The catalog entries(courtesy of Yet Another Anime CD Cyclopedia) are:
Sol Bianca original soundtrack 1
Cat#: NEC-Avenue N29C-43
Date: Feb-21-1990
Price: Y3200

Sol Bianca II original soundtrack
Cat#: NEC-Avenue NACL-1017
Date: May-21-1991
Price: Y3000

Please don't mail me requests on where to get MP2/MP3s of the tracks. First, I have never seen any files, nor do I have the CDs. Second, Sol Bianca was made by AIC, which has forcibly removed any soundfiles of their music from the 'Net. It's a waste of time asking people for any AIC MP3s.

Update!
Finally, AIC is reported to be finishing up a new trilogy of Sol Bianca episodes. Right now I don't have much information, but screen shots are on their way from Mischa Campen. About all he's said is that the character designs are relatively unchanged(yay!), except that Janny looks a lot more like a guy now.(?!?!)

Also, AIC has removed their English web pages for some reason, and now appears to be Japanese-only. :(

Links

I suppose this is as good as any for the few links to other Sol Bianca sites. I expect you shouldn't care about this one--it's just another Small Sol Bianca site.

  • Sol Bianca's Sol Bianca Ship(?)--Run by a fellow member of EFnet's #anime/manga, Sting.
  • Barry's Sol Bianca Page--asked permission to use some of my pics, and found some ones I didn't know about, nicely laid out.
  • Serpent's Sol Bianca Page--The infamous Serpent's small information page. Hosted courtesy of Anime-Manga.Net.
