Faith, Aura, Willpower

Faith is not only a measure of a Chosen's belief in her Patron, but also a measure of the Patron's belief in its Chosen. A point of Faith is kind of like a divine favor. This is becomes very useful when the kimchee gets deep, and the Chosen has no other realistic way out. Faith can also be used to accomplish the phenomenal. Regaining temporary Faith takes time and effort, as the Chosen "ingratiates" her self to her Patron. Buying permanent Faith should only happen when the Chosen and the Patron come closer together. Another name for Faith could be Divinity, as the higher levels of Faith initiate the Chosen into Godhood. Many Chosen strive for this without knowing fully what it is for them. When a Chosen has more than five permanent points of Faith, she obtains a certain level of mastery over her own existence. This is Godhood. Trait limits for these "Gods" are equal to the God's Faith rating. (The rest of the supernatural changes that happen upon achieving Godhood have not been explored yet, but Storyteller Discretion may overcome that.)

Aura is the spiritual and magical representation of a Chosen's Life-Force. Life-Force is the source of all power, thus it is what empowers magic. When a Chosen's temporary Aura is reduced to zero (for whatever reason) she falls into a deep, near comatose sleep until she regains at least one Aura point. For every two hours of good sleep, or for half an hour of meditation, the Chosen regains one point of Aura. The Chosen may not regain more Aura points through meditation than her Meditation Ability per day. Buying permanent Aura happens when the Life-Force becomes more potent.

Willpower quantifies how much self-control the Chosen has. Willpower is essential for controlling the actions of your character, especially in times of stress when judgement is critical. A Chosen regains temporary Willpower points by working within her Nature. Also, she begins each story with all her Willpower. Optionally, she may also regain one temporary Willpower with each night of good sleep. Buying permanent Willpower comes with greater confidence in the self. In play, the most common use for Willpower is to spend one temporary point to gain an automatic success on a roll, but this must be declared before the roll actually happens.
