Mizu Ascending

Known as "Shape Shifter", this Aspect holds sway (strangely enough) over shape shifting. Magic from this Aspect is called "Dynamic Water". Chosen with this Aspect as their Patron tend to be reserved, yet never preferring any one form.

Initial Aura: 5.
Initial Willpower: 4.

Boon

Contortion — The Chosen becomes very flexible and double-jointed, allowing her to squeeze through things she would otherwise not.
System: The Chosen rolls Water + Faith (Difficulty 6). The Chosen may contort her body for one round per success.

Dynamic Water Spells

Sample Character Partial Transformations (Level 1) — The Chosen can manipulate parts of her body as if she were molding clay.
Requirements: Water 1.
System: The Chosen spends a point of Aura and rolls Dynamic + Water (Difficulty 8). The Chosen may affect one body part per success, where a single hand counts as one body part. In practice, she visuallizes the desired shapes into being. Duration lasts until the end of scene, after which her features return to normal. This Spell can be used to turn fingers into claws, which add two dice to hand damage (non-aggravated). This Spell can also allow finer control for such tasks as picking locks with finger nails. Ears can be enlarged to add two dice to any rolls involving hearing. (I will forgo speaking of what a Chosen can do with a 12-inch tongue.) Etcetera.

Shape Change (Level 2) — The Chosen may assume the shape (and consequent function) of any natural animal.
Requirements: Water 2.
System: The Chosen spends one point of Aura and rolls Dynamic + Water (Difficulty 8). The Chosen may stay in that form for one hour per success. Additionally, original mass must remain the same in the new form. Spells may be cast in animal form, but must be cast Cold. It should be noted that, as windows onto the soul, eyes will change in function, but not in recognizable appearance.

Alter Size (Level 3) — The Chosen can shrink or grow to extreme sizes. Mass will actually increase and decrease accordingly.
Requirements: Water 3.
System: The Chosen spends a point of Aura and rolls Dynamic + Water (Difficulty 8). The Chosen's size and physical attributes may grow 50% or shrink 20% per success (rounding fractions in her favor). Duration lasts until the Chosen takes damage. If the Chosen also knows the Spell Shape Change, she may cast it in combination with this Spell simply by spending an additional Aura point (duration of which will also last until the she takes damage).

Flux Form (Level 4) — The Chosen has learned a special mastery over physical forms, and is capable of making amazing transformations. (For instance, a Chosen using this spell, and gaining enough successes, could pull off a very convincing Crinos form.)
Requirements: Water 4.
System: The Chosen spends two points of Aura and rolls Dynamic + Water (Difficulty 8). This Spell only affects Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, and Appearance. The Chosen may add one dot to any of these attributes per success. She may also remove dots from these attributes to create more successes (in essense, freely rearranging dots), but she then runs the high risk of magical burns. Physical attributes may not go below one dot. Duration lasts until the end of scene. The Spell can only be cast on organic forms. If the Chosen also knows the Spell Partial Transformations, she may cast it in combination with this Spell (without further aura cost or roll) at the same number of successes.

Polymorph (Level 5) — The Chosen may assume the shape, size, mass, and chemistry of any physical creature or object.
Requirements: Water 5.
System: The Chosen spends three points of Aura and rolls Dynamic + Water (Difficulty 8). This Spell has one health level per success, which are seperate from the Chosen's health levels. The Spell will loose one health level per hour. Duration is over when all of the Spell's health levels are gone. While the Spell is active, the Chosen may continue to shift forms with only a successful Willpower roll (Difficulty 5) each time she wishes to do so. A botch on that roll cancels the Spell completely. If she takes any physical damage (including burning and other chemical reactions) while in Polymorph, the Spell loses health levels before she does, but she may soak that damage with Willpower roll (Difficulty 5). Any damage beyond what the Spell can take is inflicted on the Chosen's health levels without additional soak. Damage from Spells (such as Fire Bolt) is handled likewise, but the difficulty to soak is 7 instead of 5. She gains no magical abilities from her new form, but may still cast her own Spells (if the form was not designed for Spell casting she must Cold cast). The Storyteller is responsible for determining the Strength, Dexterity, and Appearance ratings of the polymorphed form. It should be noted that the Chosen's aura remains the same to the Spell Aura Perception despite whatever form she takes on.
