ANCIENT HISTORY
Birth: Bjork was born in Denmark to a Get of Fenris mother and a Children of Gaia father. While his mother lost rank instantly, she never resented Bjork. (I don't know what happened to Bjork's father.) She did, however, notice early on that Bjork bore a shaft of light from his forehead that marks the “Horn of the Unicorn”. She knew that Fenris and Unicorn fight within him for controll, and she hoped that it would not drive him insane.
Childhood: Bjork as a little crinos charmed the claws off the Garou of his mother's sept with his slaying pretend Wyrm-things. Occasionally, he would rough-house with older Ragabash, to which his mother approved knowing that it would sharpen his skills and strengthen his body. However, all was not play. Bjork learned well the litany, and he obeyed it. There were times when he deeply wished for someone his own age and species that he could play with.
... This is the reason why Bjork has no skill with weapons.
Get of Fenris Cub: Bjorks first Gift was Spirit Speech. He doesn't remember how he learned it. To him, one day he woke up and said “good morning” to every spirit in the house.
Bjork's first rite of passage was simple. “Go in that hole. Kill all the Wyrm you find.” Two other Get of Fenris Cubs went with him. One was Lars, an Lupus Ahroun. The other was Thomas, a Homid Philodox. 15 BSD's, 3 Get of Fenris Cubs, even odds. Bjork gained a deep scar across his chest where a BSD clawed him, and passed into adulthood.
Get of Fenris Cliath: Bjork's pack, with Thomas as alpha, earned the name “The Wyrm Trembles”.
Get of Fenris Fostern: Bjork's pack basked in the glory of Wyrm slaying, until one night, when the Wyrm struck back. Bjork does not remember why the Bone Gnawers, the Get of Fenris, and Children of Gaia gathered together to meet in Central Park. He remembers drinking too much. He remembers the fight. He remembers the five Get of Fenris and the one Bone Gnawer left standing. He remembers the shock and horror of what he had done. Only much later did someone bother to check the alcohol with Sense Wyrm. The Defiler had struck.
The Bone Gnawers asked that one of the Get of Fenris become a Bone Gnawer in order to repair the damage done to the tribe. The Children of Gaia made the same request. And so Bjork became one of the Children.
Children of Gaia Cub: Being a cub again was a massive blow to Bjork's ego. He understood the need to do what he did, but that didn't make it feel good. He itched for the chance to be an adult again, yet he knew he could never go back to way things were. Thomas at least knew what he was going through, if no one else did.
Bjork's second rite of passage was to euthanize the spirit of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City shortly after it was bombed. Kinfolk in the demolition crews held off reducing the remains to rubble until Bjork could convince the spirit that it was time to move on. This was a delicate matter as the spirit was keeping several souls from going on, and it was not well disposed toward bipeds at the moment. Never-the-less, it was done and Bjork passed into adulthood a second time.
Children of Gaia Cliath: This is when Zephyr appeared. He brought with him a story of tragedy from long ago. He showed Bjork the past. Bjork saw a pack destroyed, their souls consumed by the Wyrm. Only one soul escaped with help of their pack totem, a falcon called Zephyr. That one became Bjork. One year later...
(The rest of Bjork's history was actually played out in table top, and is too long and complex to put down in writing without massive effort.)
