7 Day Old Moon
Feb 20, 2002 03:44-04:24 UTC - This image was tougher than my first. Each AVI was taken as the moon ducked in and out of clouds, so it was very hard to stitch together due to the fact that the luminosity wasn't very consistent and a lot of time passed between each image (and I am currently using an Altitude-Azimuth mount). The image was created by stitching together 22 images using Paintshop Pro 7.02. Each image was created by capturing AVIs with a modified old Connectix Color QuickCam and using Vega. The AVIs were then processed using AstroStack. Each image was stacked from 40 frames from each AVI. The telescope used was a Meade LX-90 (8" SCT, f/10). |
