| April 30, 2002 - Pictures taken with a
Kodak DC260 digital camera mounted to the top of my
telescope with Velcro (how "Space Age" can you
get?). The camera is not great in low light, but I was
impressed that I was even able to get the planets and
some of the background stars. In P0002047.jpg, you can see a bit of the
Pleiades!. |

|
| May 3, 2002 - The clouds stayed away long
enough to get a few shots of the planets. In the first
picture you can see Mercury and in the last one you can
see Jupiter. I also took individual planet portraits with
my new webcam through my telescope. See them here. |

|
| May 4, 2002 - After all of the poor
weather predictions for this evening, I was shocked that
coming out of Hale's Pub we were able to see all 5
planets. Unfortunately, by the time I got home and got
out the camera, the wind and clouds had come in. Luckily
a plane was nice enough to draw a line between Venus and
Saturn. |

|
| May 6, 2002 - Another gorgeous evening
after a day of hail, thunder, lightning, etc... We went
out to Golden Gardens and stood on the beach watching the
planets come put. All 5 were visible. I also got Jupiter
hanging out with the Gemini twins in the last shot. |

|
| May 10, 2002 - Lots of clouds and poor
seeing, but I had to try and snap a picture of Venus and
Mars in such close proximity. |

|
| May 11, 2002 - Clear skies revealed all
the planets except Mercury. A number of background stars
are visible in the second picture. |
