I've finally taken the time to put together a mosaic of some photos I took standing on the rim of Mount St. Helens. This picture can be seen at its full size by clicking here or on the small version above.
WARNING 
This mosaic has been highly tampered with! I make no
claim that what you are seeing is geologically correct. The
purpose of the image is to give an idea of what it
is like to stand on the rim of this amazing natural phenomena.
Also, it is a highly compressed (lossy) JPEG image. This will
cause some loss of clarity. I do have a compressed version that
is lossless, but it is 2.5meg. This would probably push my limits
on my ISP.
